I can't believe that this weekend is already the 4th of July! Where was our spring? Anyhow, I guess it is time to face facts and start planning for the holiday weekend. First order of business? Local fireworks displays around Olympia. Here is a list of local places to take in some spectacular fireworks.
The summer is finally upon us, and Olympia is the place to be for art, culture, and family fun. The summer kicks off with the Greater Olympia Dixieland Jazz Festival, June 23 - 26 at Saint Martin's University's Marcus Pavilion. From July through August enjoy Music In The Park, an event sponsored by the Olympia Downtown Association which offers something for every music lover.
Lacey Parks and Recreation Department is ready for summer! Their annual Lacey Summer Entertainment schedule kicks off tomorrow evening with the first performance in their Children's Entertainment Series. With great entertainment for kids, lunch hour musical performances, and outdoor movie showings, Huntamer Park will be the place to be in Lacey this summer.
The Lacey Rotary Duck Dash is right around the corner, and the weather is supposed to be amazing. This Saturday, June 4th, its time to get your ducks in a row and come out to Tumwater Falls Park. Enjoy the cool breeze from the Deschutes River and watch those duckies dash. You might even win something!
